Children's Sermon
Children start morning worship with their parent's in the morning worship service. There is typically a children's sermon with Pastor Phil, part way through the service. It is great to hear kid's respond to his questions -- sometimes with surprising answers!. If you are visiting, you can keep your kids with you during this time if they are nervous about coming up, but they are welcome to come up on the steps when Pastor Phil invites the children up, if they are willing. After the children's sermon, kids are dismissed to children's worship.
Children's Worship
Children's Worship recognizes that young children have the potential to experience God in deep and meaningful ways. Our goal is to encourage and nurture that potential by translating Biblical stories, parables, and liturgical lessons into visual materials. Allowing children to work with these materials enables them to experience the stories of God more profoundly and concretely. However, it is often difficult for young children to articulate what they have experienced. This is why art and music also play an important role in the Worship Center. These mediums enable the children to give expression to feelings and ideas for which they often have no words. All the stories are told -- not read, and care completely Biblical.
Children's Worship: A place where we come:
* to hear the stories of God
* to work with the stories of God
* to pray to God
* to listen to God
* to know God
* to praise God
* to feel God's presence
* to be with each other
